Material Quality: Let's be upfront: the stock desktop is a melamine-coated particle board. Our density test measured 620 kg/m³ which is respectable for engineered board, but it's not solid wood. The melamine surface is surprisingly durable — passing our 300-cycle scratch test — but it lacks the warmth and character of natural wood grain. The 1" thickness feels adequate but not premium.

Frame & Stability: This is where the E7 Pro shines. The three-stage dual-motor frame is genuinely excellent. Our wobble test measured just 1.1mm of lateral displacement at max height — nearly matching desks costing $300 more. The C-frame design provides outstanding legroom and the crossbar adds rigidity that cheaper frames lack.

Motor Performance: The upgraded motors in the E7 Pro deliver 1.4"/sec travel speed at a very quiet 40dB. That's faster and quieter than most competitors in this price range. The anti-collision detection works well and the 4 memory presets are reliable.
