Maintenance & Care Guide
High-quality plywood furniture can last a lifetime if treated correctly. Whether you have clear-coated Baltic Birch or natural wood veneer, the care process is straightforward but differs from maintaining solid wood or laminate.
Daily Cleaning Protocol
- Dust Weekly: Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid feather dusters as they can scratch polished finishes.
- Wipe with a Damp Cloth: For spills, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soapy water. Wipe in the direction of the face veneer grain.
- Dry Immediately: Never leave water standing on plywood. Even WBP water-resistant glue won't prevent the face veneer from staining or checking if water pools on the surface.
Repairing Scratches
- Surface Scratches: Rub a matching color wood marker or wax crayon into the scratch, wipe off the excess, and apply a light coat of paste wax.
- Deep Gouges: Fill with tinted wood filler, sand flat with 220-grit sandpaper, and dab a matching varnish or polyurethane topcoat over the repair.
